Car Sharing Saves

feature photo

Our neighbor’s two children and my son attend the same school in our district. One day, our neighbor who is a single mother had a job interview so she asked if I could pick her kids as well. I agreed right away since it really isn’t a hassle on part. After all, I’ll pick up my son from the same school as hers. The next day, the children’s mother came over to our house and gave me an apple pie as a token of her gratitude. She said the interview went well and was actually hired by the company.

That same day, a carpool has been organized. I would pick her kids together with mine and she would pay for petrol. With this arrangement, I have not only helped a neighbor but saved money as well.
