Dealing with the One

feature photo

Being in a carpool means you are in a group of different people with different attitudes and behaviors that you have to deal with. If you’re not fortunate enough, then you might get into a group with this guy who never minds what others will think or feel. He always comes late. He brags about his exclusive business card holder and every single thing about himself. The only more unpleasant than his character is the stench of cigarettes that follows him and you inside the car and everywhere. If that doesn’t scare you, then this one might. Chances are someone in your carpool drives more aggressively, going too fast to even look at the speed limit signs- much less obey them. Instead of dealing with this offensive demeanor, you might be more appreciative of having a trip solo after all.

  1. Someone, eventually, will put that person into his place. If almost all of your carpool”mates” don’t have manners, then it’s better to ride solo after all. You won’t feel any emotional attachment considering they’re attitudes are negative towards you anyway.
